Privacy Policy
This policy explains the information used to provide FootGolf Rivals accounts, progress, social features, diagnostics, purchases, communications and optional personalisation.
Information we use
- Game identity: player name, Player ID, account ID and authentication/recovery information needed to secure and restore the account.
- Progress: career progress, scores, stars, coins, Locker choices, achievements, story/rival state, settings and cloud-save revisions.
- Buddy/social data: saved Buddy relationships, completed match records, head-to-head statistics and server-verified social results.
- Purchases and entitlements: internal product identifiers, entitlement state, transaction/reference identifiers, refund/revocation status and purchase metadata needed to fulfil and support digital purchases.
- Diagnostics: performance, error, loading and gameplay telemetry used to operate, secure and improve the game.
- Email: email address, verification state, marketing choices and unsubscribe state if you choose email features.
Why we use it
We use information where necessary to provide requested game/account features, perform and fulfil contracts, secure the service, keep records consistent, answer support requests and comply with legal obligations. Consent is used where required, including optional marketing and non-essential tracking.
Paddle and payment information
Paddle acts as Merchant of Record for enabled FootGolf Rivals purchases. Paddle processes checkout, payment, tax and buyer transaction information under its own legal obligations. FootGolf Rivals receives the transaction and product references needed to verify purchases and maintain game entitlements. Full payment-card details are not stored by the game.
Cookies and local storage
FootGolf Rivals uses browser storage for necessary functions such as game state, security/session handling, settings, consent choices and recovery. Non-essential advertising or analytics storage must not activate before the relevant consent choice where consent is required. See Cookies & Local Storage.
Other service providers
Cloudflare is used for hosting, security and serverless infrastructure. Paddle is used for enabled checkout and Merchant-of-Record services. Email and advertising providers may be used only when their relevant features are enabled and subject to the applicable consent controls.
Retention and deletion
Information is kept only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, security/legal requirements, dispute handling and recovery. Purchase records may need to be retained for legal, tax, fraud-prevention and accounting purposes even after a game account is deleted.
Your rights
UK data-protection law may give you rights including access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability depending on the circumstances. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
Marketing
Marketing email is optional. Buying something does not switch News or Offers on. Each marketing message is designed to include a simple unsubscribe route.
Security
Recovery keys should be kept private. FootGolf Rivals uses server-side account authentication, revision-checked cloud saving and server-authoritative entitlement records. No system can guarantee absolute security.
